Description

The 480GB OWCSSDA116K480 Aura Solid State Drive and Envoy Storage Solution from OWC / Other World Computing allows you to replace the current drive in your MacBook Air to provide more storage and increased performance. This SSD offers sequential reads up to 507 MB/s and writes speeds up to 454 MB/s at 6 Gb/s. To provide endurance and reliability, this SSD optimizes performance by writing to the NAND flash memory utilizing SandForce DuraClass technologies.

OWC provides the Envoy Storage Kit that includes an aluminum enclosure, Torx T-5 screwdriver, Pentalobe driver, carry case, and assembly guide. The enclosure lets you reuse the original drive and allows you to transfer your data onto the Aura SSD via USB 3.0. Its super-speed interface is capable of speeds up to 500 MB/s and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. This enclosure is also bus-powered making it an ideal portable storage solution.
